Whitney

A portrait of Whitney. I originally had this planned as a full-color painting, but it just wasn't going so well. Once I switched to black and white it started to click.

It's fully functional! there are pedals inside that drive the propeller and a hanging handlebar that turns the rudder through a system of ropes and wires. Made from scratch, to a design originally scribbled on notebook paper.

I'll take some better/less blurry pictures later...I was too excited to have finally finished it to hold my hands steady.
